Al een aantal jaren maak ik foto’s tijdens workshops bij Baltan Laboratories. Zelfde ruimte en vaak mensen aan een tafel vol pennen en stickynotes diep in gesprek over de meest uiteenlopende mogelijkheden, oplossingen, vernieuwingen of wat dan ook. Art meets Technology en het was dit keer dan ook weer een aparte workshop.

A 3-day workshop by Marco Donnarumma and Ana Rajcevic Studio on the radical potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in combination with robotics to change the human bodily experience. Participants will work on prototypes of prostheses driven by neural networks – artificial intelligence algorithms capable of generating movement behaviors and respond to their physical environment. Participants will build and program prototypes inspired by Marco Donnarumma’s skin-cutting robot Amygdala.
Results of the workshop will be exhibited as part of The Restlessness of Hybridity exhibition, alongside Marco Donnarumma’s Amygdala MK3, at Baltan Laboratories at Natlab.
